For over a decade Calum has been the Editor of various magazines and websites. In this time he has worked across a variety of sectors, including; film, music, travel, events, digital marketing, business leadership, recruitment and HR. Calum is a content strategist that has launched new titles and rebranded existing titles, all of which have gone on to grow exponentially, often with digital audiences and multimedia content at the forefront.
In front of the camera or behind it, Calum has steered the production of video content to suit many different purposes and audiences. From feature-length documentaries about hard-hitting subjects, to entertaining talk shows that both inform and inspire. Calum’s strength is understanding the target audience and creating videos that will engage and educate them, then repurposing the content for different platforms to amplify the story.
Calum’s understanding of audio content stems from 15 years in radio. He has presented and produced on air throughout his entire career, ranging from chart shows to breakfast shows, on community stations and national broadcasters. This has given him a deep understanding for what engages listeners on radio and podcasts. Calum has launched and commercialised a number of successful consumer and business podcasts that cover topics such as films, relationships, travel and marketing.
From long-form content on YouTube to six-second clips on X (formerly Twitter/Vine), Calum’s understanding of social media and ‘virality’ translates across every platform and format. On LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, he has successfully created and promoted content, accumulating millions of views and high levels of engagement. Calum has partnered with brands as an influencer on his personal accounts, in addition to creating bespoke content for their own use.
